About Me

Hi, I’m Bethany, a proud single mother of two amazing children. My journey through parenting has been shaped not only by my professional education and experience but by the personal challenges and triumphs I’ve faced along the way. Becoming a new mom was an unforgettable chapter of my life—filled with joy, sleepless nights, and navigating the many milestones of early childhood. As my children grew, I learned to embrace every stage of their development, from the wonder of their first steps to the complexities of entering the teenage years.

For many years, I parented alongside my husband, sharing the highs and lows of raising children together. However, life brought changes, and I found myself navigating the transition to single parenthood. That shift was a deeply transformative experience for me and my children. Learning to co-parent effectively, prioritize my children’s needs, and foster stability and connection in our new dynamic taught me lessons that no textbook ever could.  All of these experiences have brought me to where I am today: a Certified Parent Coach with a passion for connected parenting.

I understand how easy it is for families to become disconnected in the busyness of life, and I’m here to help bridge those gaps by fostering understanding, communication, and connection.  With years of work experience, professional education, and the lived experience of parenting through ups and downs, I bring a unique combination of knowledge, empathy, and practicality to my coaching. I’m here to support and empower families, helping parents create strong, loving bonds with their children that last a lifetime.

I've been where you've been, I understand how hard it can be.  Let me be a support for you as you navigate the challenges of parenthood so that you can build a relationship with your children founded on connection, trust, love and peace.

Education

My journey of working with children and families began at St. Clair College, where I graduated from the Early Childhood Education Program in 2000. After spending a few years working in childcare, I realized my learning wasn’t complete. I pursued further education and was accepted into the Family Social Relations Program at the University of Windsor, earning my BA in 2006. For nearly 20 years, I dedicated myself to the field of children’s mental health. However, my desire to better support the children and families in my community inspired me to continue my education. This past year, I became a Certified Parent Coach through the Jai Institute for Parenting, marking the next chapter in my journey.
